Visiting Sancta Sophia
The Sparrow Hawk Village campus and interfaith spiritual community is nestled among 440 acres of gently rolling forest filled with abundant wildlife and natural, serene beauty. About 56 homes share the hilltop and valley, and our community center serves as a hub for activities with the interfaith seminary campus and Light of Christ Community Church. Supporting the environment of spiritual growth, you’ll find Sparrow Hawk Village Campus offers a wealth of resources that form the hub for Sancta Sophia Seminary and your metaphysical studies.
The campus includes a beautiful church, esoteric library, bookstore, gift shop, Wellness Center and administrative offices. Daily meditations, Sunday services and other spiritually oriented gatherings are held at the church and in village homes.

Meals
Healthy and fresh lunches and dinners are available for a reasonable cost during class weeks. Vegetarian selections are offered at every meal. When the kitchen is closed, light meal preparation is permitted in some host homes, but not all.
Housing
The Seminary has a small dormitory to offer students at reasonable rates. In addition, some homeowners in our interfaith spiritual community of Sparrow Hawk Village have student accommodations (usually between $20 and $35 a night).
There are also several motels in the area with reasonable rates. The Tahlequah, OK Chamber of Commerce website has a complete listing of hotels and motels in the area.
Transportation
Transportation: Sancta Sophia is a 75-minute drive from Tulsa International Airport to the west, as well as from Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport to the east. Both airports have connecting flights to most major cities in the United States. Nearby Tulsa, Muskogee, and Fayetteville have bus terminals. Villagers provide ground transportation to and from the airports and bus terminals for $60 each way. Rental cars are also available.
Driving Directions to Sparrow Hawk Village
Sparrow Hawk Village is located about 10 miles northeast of Tahlequah, OK. From historic downtown Tahlequah, go east (right) on U.S. 62 (the street sign says Downing Street) approximately 3 miles. Look for a water slide park on your left. Turn north (left) onto Scenic Highway 10 at the waterslide park. Go exactly 3 miles on Scenic Hwy 10. As you begin to climb a hill, you will see a large sign for “Sparrow Hawk Camp”. Do not turn there; it’s not us. Continue up the hill, and you will see on the right a small brown sign saying, “Sparrow Hawk Village” at the crest of the hill. Just beyond that sign make a sharp right hand steep turn onto a blacktop road, which is E. 730 Road.
After 1.7 miles the road turns left and then becomes dirt for a short while as you go down a steep hill. Follow this road until you see the “Welcome to Sparrow Hawk Village – Home of Sancta Sophia Seminary” sign. A little past that, the road becomes dirt again and forks. Either way leads to us, but the left fork is the most direct. Go left and the road climbs through two switchbacks / hairpin curves and brings you right up to the top of the mountain and Sancta Sophia Seminary.
