Tuitions and Fees

All courses offered at Sancta Sophia are open for attendance regardless of whether one is formally enrolled in a program. Some prerequisites need to be met prior to attendance or arrangements made with the instructor as noted in the course catalog.

Class Fees: Course fees are $100 per credit hour whether offered on campus or online resulting in most courses costing $300. Special weekend classes and workshops are offered at varying prices. Please consult the course catalog for specific fees.

Tuition: Students formally enrolled in a program pay a monthly tuition fee of $175 (rate as of 1/1/2012), which covers administration costs and provides an honorarium to the student’s personal Advisor.

The average cost of a three year Master of Divinity degree would therefore calculate to:

88 credit units x $100/cr = $8800
Monthly tuition 175 x 36 =  $6300

$15,100  plus books, housing, meals and travel

Financing: The accreditation of Sancta Sophia is not currently recognized by the US Department of Education, therefore Federal grants and loans are not available to seminary students. We have worked to keep the costs of our programs and degrees manageable. Small scholarships may be available to enrolled students with the recommendation of their Advisor. We encourage students to be wise stewards of their resources and progress through their studies at an affordable pace.
