Dissertation:
The Emancipated Person—Spirit, Heart, and Matter
Brenda R. Cutrell, 2003
Abstract
Emancipation is a state of being of an elevated consciousness that is a stepping stone towards Life unimaginable to the average human being. It is what lies behind all that which true religions strive to teach, exemplify, and keep fresh, although it is not limited to religious expression. It is an achievable goal for the person willing to dedicate all that s/he is to becoming emancipated.
While life is lived according to certain self-established inner ethics and goals, over the millennia these ethics have varied in outer definition according to the society or culture in which emancipation expresses. The underlying energy laws that govern this process, however, do not vary and can therefore be accessed and comprehended by penetrating the overlaying culture.
“The Emancipated Person—Spirit, Heart, and Matter” is about recognizing the expression of those laws wherever it lies, whether in the past, the present, or the future of Earth’s humanity.
Three spiritual traditions, Kabalah, Esoteric Christianity, and Agni Yoga, are explored in order to understand how emancipation is demonstrated in the context of each of these frameworks.
To assist in outlining the subject, an explanation of how an emancipated person would have expressed in past societies recalls previous mythical states, races, and cultures. A comprehensive description of what an emancipated person would express during present times is provided. This includes all levels of consciousness presently developed and used by human beings, as well as some that only a few can access in an awakened state.
The interrelationship of current humanity with other kingdoms, such as the sub-human ones, the angelic, and the spatial is described, irrespective of whether some of these kingdoms are acknowledged as real or not at the physical concrete level.
Lastly, where the emancipation process is carrying both individuals and groups in the ongoing evolution of humanity on this planet is explored. People who are currently working toward degrees of freedom such as emancipation are following others who have trod this path. But they are also cutting new patterns for the process which reflect the needs of the time. It is important that today’s workers in the light be fully conversant and able to communicate about what they are about.
Current spiritual expression encompasses the development of higher mind and the exteriorization of the manifestation of the soul. Emancipated people live and define themselves in a way that is different from that presented by the personality. They use states of being or tools almost incomprehensible to those not searching for emancipation. They belong to a group consciousness that only faintly resembles tribal consciousness. Their goals markedly differ from those of mainstream society. That which most clearly qualifies them is mental emancipation, soul infusion and its full expression in the concrete world, polarization at the causal level, a clear understanding of many levels of consciousness or existence, knowledge of correct timing, and conscious awareness of the Earth as a single entity.
