Enhance your Metaphysical Studies at the
Sancta Sophia Library

When in search of reference material on Esoteric Christianity, metaphysics, or other esoteric traditions, Sancta Sophia Seminary's Wisdom Studies Specialty Library is the place to come for research and inspiration. Our Wisdom Studies Specialty Library is quickly becoming known as the most extensive collection of metaphysical studies resources in our area. Conveniently located on the Sparrow Hawk Village campus, the library offers:

• Over 11,000 books, periodicals and journals covering over 150 subjects in all areas of esoteric studies
• 8,000 audio recordings
• 300 video tapes
• All student papers, Master Theses, and Doctoral dissertations

Finding what you need is easy—all resources can be easily located in a simple computer search.

Our offerings provide a rich array of materials to quench the thirst of anyone researching religions from ancient to present, as well as all facets of spirituality and personal development. The Wisdom Studies Library complements the Sancta Sophia Seminary courses with topics such as:

Approximately one quarter of our volumes are rare, hard-to-find copies that are now out of print. As a student of Esoteric Christianity and metaphysical studies, you'll be fascinated—and the hours will disappear as you peruse these volumes. We thank our founder, Carol Parrish-Harra, and the many other patrons who have donated these valuable resources over the years.

Using the Sancta Sophia Wisdom Studies Specialty Library

Residents of Sparrow Hawk Village and on-campus students may borrow resources for 30 days.

Our off-campus students are encouraged to use our book/tape-by-mail program to enrich their metaphysical studies. Books, CDs, and audio tapes can be mailed as needed for periods up to six weeks, for a small fee.

The library also offers Class Recordings for Sale. Contact our librarian for titles and prices.

Other interested researchers may apply for library privileges. Please see our librarian for an application and complete details.

Our staff librarian is available to help you during library hours and can be contacted by e-mail for off-site help. Please email for assistance in finding the esoteric resources you need, or to arrange to have materials sent to you at home. Send an email to librarian@sanctasophia.org

Please do come in and browse, read, and relax. Our recliners and sofas are comfortable and our atmosphere reflective.

Purchasing Books

If you prefer building your own personal metaphysical studies library to borrowing books, you'll find a wide selection in both our campus bookstore and our online bookstore. Browse a bit—and if you don't see what you're looking for on line, please ask. Our entire inventory is not listed on the site, and if it concerns Esoteric Christianity or metaphysical studies, we probably have it in stock! We'd love to welcome you as a student…
