Our Mission: To encourage and guide individuals toward greater consciousness of themselves, their path in life and their intrinsic involvement in the total community of humanity by means of, but in no way limited to, the study of spiritual science, the practice of mediation and various modalities of spiritual healing, through its educational programs, worship services and individual counseling in a safe and welcoming environment. Our purpose is gentle balance for mind, body and spirit engaging all toward higher consciousness. Esoteric teachings express that now is the time for a shift in values in order to build the foundation for a world of compassion and peace.
Our eclectic approach to contemporary spirituality offers an interfaith, personal and transformational process for each student.
Select courses are now being taught for credit through The Sophia School of Wisdom. These designated courses, upon completion, will be accepted as meeting requirements toward certificates and degrees offered by the Seminary.
Students completing the courses will receive a Sophia School of Wisdom "Course Completion Certificate" which is transferable upon registration in one of the many structured study programs at Sancta Sophia Seminary.
The Courses are open to all, whether you wish to take them for credit (reading and project required) or for personal growth.
Courses offered: Ancient Wisdom, Astrology, Science of Mediation, I & II, Dream Study, Training of the Initiate, Numerology, Nutrition, and Natural Health, Spiritual Disciplines and Practices, Religions East & West and Spiritual Healing.

Are there elements of chaos in your life? Have you considered or tried meditation but just "don't get it"? This introductory class will create an opportunity for you to:

As an introductory class, you will begin to understand the importance of concentration in your meditation practice, and learn how to focus your mind differently than you have before. It offers dependable meditation techniques and practical methods that will help you learn how to deepen your awareness of consciousness and awaken your heart to the quiet space inside. As you consistently return to your meditation practice, you will discover the limitless inner resources already present within you.
Part II of the class is also facilitated by Rev. Troy Shaw and will run for 5 weeks starting Jan. 7 on Monday evenings from 7 to 9:00.
