Sancta Sophia Seminary Esoteric Studies Programs

Do you seek to serve as a spiritual healing practitioner, ordained interfaith minister, pastoral counselor, or teacher of esoteric philosophy?

Sancta Sophia Seminary provides a variety of courses and programs centered around esoteric Christianity. As a new thought theological seminary, we welcome all students, whether for one class or for a course of study preparing you to live and serve as a spiritually awakened leader. You will be sure to find a study program that suits your unique needs if you are:

Whether you seek interfaith ministry ordination, a career in spiritual counseling, pastoral counseling training or spiritual counseling courses, Sancta Sophia Seminary will guide you on your path of personal growth and transformation by preparing you for spiritual leadership and planetary service.

Accredited Master and Doctoral Degrees
and Endorsed Ordinations

Sancta Sophia offers several accredited programs of study. Whether your goal is pastoral counseling training, interfaith ministry ordination, or completing a doctor of ministry or other program, your esoteric studies will consist of directed home-study, meditation techniques, practicums, and one class week of residency per trimester, in February, May, and September. As a part of your enrollment, you will be assigned a personal advisor to guide you in designing a course of esoteric studies to meet your individual interests and goals.

Foundations of Spirituality is a required component of all our interfaith seminary degrees and certifications. Successful completion of the Foundations program will qualify you to receive Light of Christ Community Church (LCCC) certification as a Practitioner/lay minister. Ministerial ordination requires additional esoteric studies in Preparation for Christian Ministry.

Foundations of Spirituality requires a minimum of 18 months of study. Local programs are available at any of four Sophia Schools of Wisdom located in Minnesota, Maryland, and Michigan.

Preparation for Christian Ministry qualifies you to teach esoteric philosophy and/or for ministerial ordination by Light of Christ Community Church. It requires an additional 12 months of study and includes pastoral counseling training.

Master Degrees: Sancta Sophia Seminary offers the following master degrees:

• Master of Divinity
• Master of Theology
• Master of Arts in Holistic Wellness
• Master of Arts in Spirituality

Doctoral Degrees: You may earn the following doctoral degrees through your esoteric studies at Sancta Sophia Seminary:

• Doctor of Ministry
• Doctor of Theology
• Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies
• Doctor of Philosophy in Spiritual Studies
• Doctor of Philosophy in Holistic Wellness

Wellness Guide Certification gives you the qualifications to teach wellness as the optimum state of well being for mind, body, and spirit. You can then establish a private practice or work in a counseling center, spa, professional association, or corporation.

Spiritual Mentor Certification qualifies you to assist those who seek a personal relationship with the Divine Essence within themselves.

Because a portion of your esoteric / metaphysical studies will be completed at home, you may enroll in Sancta Sophia Seminary programs at any time of the year. In conjunction with your at-home esoteric studies, you will choose on-campus classes that fit your schedule. Please see our Schedule of Classes.
