Having studied and practiced astrology for more than 25 years, Dennis Acrea synthesizes volumes of information and varied approaches into an integrated whole. Retha Banez, C. Ht., RMT, ordained by LCCC in 2003, is co-pastor of Light of Christ Community Church. While she still maintains a home in Okemos, MI, Retha spends most of the year in her home in Sparrow Hawk Village, where her husband John joins her as he can. She has had a private practice for many years, providing services in Reiki, Esoteric Healing, Healing Touch, Psychography, Hypnotherapy, and Spiritual Mentoring.
Retha’s focus now is on providing services at LCCC, teaching, and studying through the Sancta Sophia Graduate Program to obtain her M. Div. degree. She is a life-long seeker in spiritual studies with a special love for rituals, sacraments, symbols in dream study and meditation, and healing. She is dedicated to the externalization of the Hierarchy through group work, study, and meditation.

Sara Bunce is an ordained minister through the Light of Christ Community Church and director of a Sophia School of Wisdom in Jackson, Michigan. She has an education degree from the University of Michigan. She has served Hospice of Jackson & Oaklawn, Michigan, including serving on the Board of Directors.
She brings to her spiritual work the experience of her professional background in education. She has studied with Dr. Barbara Briner at the BioEnergy Institute in Okemos, Michigan, where she is certified for Esoteric Healing. She is also certified in Reiki and Healing Touch. Betty Carper, Ph.D., certified as Teacher of Esoteric Philosophy in 1981, received her doctorate in 1993 from Sancta Sophia Seminary. She serves as a member of the Seminary’s Board of Governors and a student advisor, as well as an astrologer, counselor, and Gestalt dream therapist. A former principal and educator in public schools, she moved to Sparrow Hawk Village in 1985.

Brenda Cutrell, Ph.D., a member of the Sancta Sophia Seminary Board of Governors, has been involved with spiritual disciplines and practices, both individual and group, since the early 1980’s. She was ordained by LCCC in 1991 and completed a doctorate of philosophy in religious studies in 2003 from Sancta Sophia Seminary.
Her particular focus and interest has been the process by which a person works towards an expanded spiritual realization—or emancipation from three-dimensional consciousness, and begins to live as a soul.

Linda Oliver, RN, CRNA, MA, ordained by LCCC in 2000, has been a nurse since 1962 and managed an anesthesia department in Detroit, MI. Her MA is in administration. Currently she works as a nurse anesthetist at a local hospital. A member of the LCCC Board of Trustees and Director of the Wellness Center and the Wellness Guide Program, Linda is pursuing a Ph.D. in Spiritual Studies at Sancta Sophia.

Carol E. Parrish-Harra, Ph.D., founder and dean of Sancta Sophia Seminary, is internationally recognized and sought as a speaker and teacher. She is the founder of the intentional community of Sparrow Hawk Village and Light of Christ Community Church.
Carol is the author of Sophia Sutras: Introducing Mother Wisdom, Messengers of Hope—The Walk-in Phenomenon, The New Age Handbook on Death and Dying, The Aquarian Rosary, The Book of Rituals—Personal and Planetary Transformation, The New Dictionary of Spiritual Thought (2nd edition), How to Use Sacred Space, and Adventure in Meditation, vols. 1 – 3. Each volume won the Athena Award for Mentoring Excellence in 1996, 1997, 1998, respectively.
A graduate of Gallup Leadership Institute, Carol has served in a number of organizations including the President’s Council on the Status of Women in America and on the Board of Trustees of the International Council of Community Churches. The World Network of Religious Futurists Association presented Carol the Earl Award in 1998 for outstanding service in advancing the contribution of world religions to the future of humanity. In 2005 Carol received the coveted International Nebolsin Medal presented for outstanding service in the field of education for the common good of humanity at St. Petersburg, Russia.

Charles D. Pass, a professional dowser and past chapter president of a national dowsing organization, is a homeowner at Sparrow Hawk Village. He has taught dowsing at the Seminary and in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He dowses for water veins, ley lines, and other earth energies, studies the application of dowsing to agricultural practices, and is a dedicated leader in the Village volunteer fire department.

Doris Pass shares her husband Charles’ interest in the dowsing arts and often co-teaches with him. An LCCC practitioner and Village homeowner, she has practiced Hatha Yoga for more than 20 years. Doris taught yoga at the Himalayan Institute of Tulsa and has taught at the Village. After attending Peter Roche de Coppens’ Western Yoga classes here, she incorporated these balancing exercises into her program.

Jenny Roberts, M.Div., LADC, RMT, is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and Reiki Master/Teacher. She received her Master of Divinity, with emphasis on counseling and teaching, in 1998 and is a practitioner with LCCC. The author of The Nurturing Parent,
Jenny has spent the last 30 years providing individual and group counseling in all areas of addiction, co-dependency, adult children of chemical dependents, depression, and stress management. She assists people who have been affected with these conditions re-connect with their spiritual path.
A nationally known speaker and consultant Jenny has dedicated herself to assisting hundreds of helping professionals learn self-nurturing and self-compassion skills to combat compassion fatigue, increase their ability to assist clients, and enjoy a fulfilling personal and professional life. Thomas (Tom) Simota, III, MS, ordained through LCCC in 2001, serves on its Board of Trustees and as a student advisor for the Seminary. He resides in Eagan, MN, where he is director/pastor of Celestial Light Circle, an LCCC-chartered church and designated Sophia School of Wisdom. Tom earned his Master’s Degree in Education in 1991 from the University of Wisconsin – Stout.

Margaret Stephens, MA, is a member of the Sancta Sophia Seminary Board of Governors, a student advisor, and a senior faculty member. After a successful career in corporate management and teaching classes through her charter with LCCC, she now resides in Sparrow Hawk Village.
Margaret is dedicated to the individual and cooperative group effort needed to manifest the new world view: the kingdom of souls. Her humor, curiosity, and intuitive insights set the tone for dynamic learning in her classes. Margaret's areas of expertise include esoteric psychology, the evolution of the psyche and training of the initiate, and a practical understanding of the 5 stages of meditation. Numerology is one of her special loves. She is currently expanding her teaching to Agni Yoga.

Marjorie Stuth, MSW, was ordained by LCCC in 1986 and has lived in the Village since 1987. Her religious and academic backgrounds convey a deep allegiance to Aquarian ecumenicalism. She is an LCCC pastor emeritus, on the Seminary Board of Governors, and an advisor for Seminary students. A licensed marriage and family therapist, Marjorie is a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and the Academy of Certified Social Workers.

Connie Swan was ordained by LCCC in 2006. She serves as student advisor for Sancta Sophia Seminary and participates monthly in Sunday services at Light of Christ Community Church. Her ministry in nearby Tulsa provides healing, rituals and sacraments, co-creative Nature work, and pastoral care including intuitive reading and spiritual counseling. Her ongoing passion is the experience and expression of joy.

Lee Warren, a resident of Sparrow Hawk Village, assists Seminary students in the writing phase of the graduate program. Until her retirement in 2002 from her job as a Health Information Technician, she used her excellent linguistic skill assisting caregivers in writing clear, accurate reports. Along with a passion for lexicology, Lee loves writing poetry and essays. She has had work published in Menoskie, the newsletter for the Central Oklahoma Mensa Association.

Helen Weiser, MA, Ed.S., is a licensed psychologist and a Certified Advanced Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) with over 20 years experience in the mental health field. She received her M.A. in Psychology in May, 1982 and her Education Specialist (ED.S.) in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in January, 1992. Through her private practice she provides supervision and training seminars as well as counseling individuals, families and couples. Psychography, July 14 - 25.
Robert Willson, Ph.D., was ordained in Spiritual Science in 1983, and in 1990 he graduated from Sancta Sophia Seminary and transferred to Light of Christ Community Church. He serves as co-pastor of LCCC and teaches rainbow bridge meditation, inner child development, coherent heart techniques, emotional freedom technique, and is a certified Instructor of Psychography.
Robert loves teaching classes involving the convergence of science and spirituality. He especially enjoys researching the frontiers of consciousness and mysticism. His current passion is learning techniques to transcend the ego. Robert was also the co-inventor of the plasma video and received an Emmy for his work in 2002. Robert worked in industry on projects involving perception of displayed information, low light level television and holographic imaging.

Giovanna Vannall is a graduate of a Baptist Bible College in addition to being a LCCC minister, ordained in 2007. She has had a specific love of the scriptures and understanding of them since childhood. Growing up in a military family, Giovanna has had a lifetime of exposure to a variety of cultures, religions and philosophies.
She now brings this unique passion to Sancta Sophia in an interfaith approach. A Reiki Master and group leader, Giovanna has also served as a mentor for a personal transitional program for years in addition to her role currently mentoring Esoteric Christianity students.

Katherine Zakutansky, BSBA, RMT, is a registered Reiki Master Teacher with the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP) and an Esoteric Energy Healer. She has studied Medical Technology, earned a degree in Business Administration and does consulting work in the Financial and Information Systems fields. Her study of energy healing and dynamic energetic links between body, mind and spirit has made her passionate about the use of energy and intuition as transformative tools.
In her private practice, Katherine employs a variety of modalities including Reiki, Esoteric Energy Healing, So-Jing Qi Gong, EFT, Meditation, Psychography and Spiritual Counseling, as well as offering community meditations. Her unique blend of scientific, practical, energetic and intuitive skills provides a solid base to assist others in strengthening their “individual energetic empowerment.” She is currently a practitioner with Light of Christ Community Church and is continuing her esoteric studies at Sancta Sophia Seminary.

John Francis Nash earned his doctorate from the University of London before moving to the United States in the mid-1960s. His career led him from scientific research and business to higher education, before “retiring” to freelance writing and teaching in the areas of metaphysics, religion, and spiritual healing (one of his first teachers was Carol Parrish). He was ordained a minister in 1977.
Dr. Nash has published 12 books and 150 scholarly articles and papers in multiple fields. His most recent books, published in 2004, were Quest for the Soul and The Soul and its Destiny. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Esoteric Quarterly, an online peer-reviewed journal of esoteric philosophy (www.esotericstudies.net/quarterly).

Nancy Macdonald, MSW, LICSW, LMFT, has a BA from UBC, Vancouver, B.C. and a Master's in Social Work from University of Washington, Seattle. She has had a private practice for many years and teaches at Antioch/ Seattle University. She studied for 20 years with Virginia Satir and worked in a medical facility and child protective service. She has taught in Canada, Russia, and Ukraine. She met Carol Parrish in Russia in 1997 and studied at Sancta Sophia Seminary for several years.

The Human Validation Process: Becoming More Fully Human
James Schrenker, MD, CMD, is a practicing family physician in Bristol, Tennessee with a medical degree from Indiana University. He respects and uses his education and experience in conventional medicine, while embracing metaphysical knowledge to provide the best possible care for his patients. Dr. Schrenker is a Certified Medical Director (CMD), the medical director for NHC nursing homes in eastern Tennessee, and has been the principal investigator in more than twenty clinical research studies.
Dr. Schrenker’s ultimate goal has been to establish Integrated Health Concepts (IHC). IHC, also known as the Bristol Clinic, opened its doors in January 2005 in Bristol, Tennessee. In 2004 Dr. Schrenker co-authored Everyday Lessons: Understanding the Events, Interactions and Attitudes That Make Up Your Life (Integrated Concepts Publishing, LLC, October 2004). He is currently working on a book addressing the metaphysical aspects of dis-ease.

Margaret Starbird holds BA and MA degrees from the University of Maryland. She studied on a Fulbright Grant at the Christian Albrechts Universitat in Kiel, Germany and did further graduate study at Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, TN. A “cradle” Roman Catholic, she taught religious education and Scripture classes for many years before writing her first book centered on Mary Magdalene.
Starbird presents frequent lectures and retreats and is the author of several widely acclaimed books about the Sacred Feminine in the Christian tradition, including The Woman with the Alabaster Jar (1993) and The Goddess in the Gospels: Reclaiming the Sacred Feminine (1998). Her newest book is Mary Magdelene, Bride in Exile. Her other books include The Feminine Face of Christianity, Magdalene’s Lost Legacy: Symbolic Numbers and Sacred Union, and The Tarot Trumps and the Holy Grail.

DaEl Walker is the Director of the Crystal Awareness Institute. For over 32 years he has focused research on subtle energy, crystals, healing, and sensitivity training. He has taught in 11 countries on 4 continents. In 1998 he received the Martin De La Cruz Prize from the Academia Mexicana de Medicina Tradicional, an annual award for the individual or organization that has contributed the most to alternative healing. Walker received his bachelor’s degree from Cambridge International University and is an ordained minister of the Chapel of Inner Man, affiliated with the Church of Religious Science.
DaEL Walker has been involved in Crystal Skull Research since 1986 when he was part of a team working with the Mitchell-Hedges Skull. He has since worked on 27 crystal skulls and is the guardian of Rainbow, an ancient crystal skull. A Cherokee descendant, he is an elder in the Spirit Horse Medicine Society. He has authored several books and articles, including The Crystal Book, The Crystal Healing Book, and the soon to be published Crystalotherapy. He has appeared on over 500 radio and TV shows in 11 countries.

Educator and author Bob Waxman has been studying esoteric philosophy and Kabalah since 1985 and is the author of Kabbalah Simply Stated (Paragon House). He has been interviewed twice on national television and has been teaching Kabalah throughout South Florida for nine years. Bob has taught at Unity and the Longboat Key Education Center and has been a featured guest speaker at many religious, philosophical and educational functions. He is certified by the American Seminar Leaders Association, a graduate of the School of Practical Philosophy in New York City, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Philosophy of Religion.

Tuija Robbins (Ph.D.E Cand.) is an international teacher and Director of Ceremonies in the field of the Ceremonial Arts with over twenty years of experience in the Ageless Wisdom working with people of all ages and abilities. She uses her extensive knowledge and talent as a stage-director, choreographer and drama-coach to help workshop participants express their highest spiritual potential.
The beautiful Spiritual Services she creates have been presented at a number of international gatherings in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Europe. Tuija is President and Co-Founder of the Northern Light Society and the Northern Light Mystery School with its headquarters situated near Helsinki, Finland.
Tuija is also co-founder with her husband Michael Robbins of the Serapis College of Music, Drama and the Ceremonial Arts and a life-long student and teacher of esoteric studies. A Theosophist since 1987, for twenty years she has created and conducted monthly full moon and weekly ceremonial services for the invocative focusing upon the Christ Spirit, and for preparing the Way for the Coming of the World Teacher by contacting and distributing the energies of the Spiritual Hierarchy of our planet. Her special interest is understanding and cooperating with the Deva Kingdom to prepare humanity for future contact and co-operation with the “Angels”.
