Foundations of Spirituality:

Enriching Your Esoteric Studies,
a Prerequisite for Seminary
Degree Programs

Your esoteric studies begin here at Sancta Sophia, a mystery school and interfaith seminary where the study of esoteric traditions and the ageless wisdom teachings bring about personal spiritual growth, transformation, and the evolution of consciousness, to encourage a new generation of world servers and assist in bringing forth the New Humanity.

Foundations of Spirituality is a requisite for all other programs and degrees offered at Sancta Sophia Seminary, whether pursuing master of divinity programs, master of theology with life experience, or spiritual counseling training programs. From this metaphysical studies foundation, you may pursue ordination or become a teacher of esoteric philosophy, wellness guide, or spiritual mentor. It is also requisite for Doctoral and Master Degrees.

You will follow your esoteric studies program over 18 months of study, which includes both guided home study and on-campus participation. You will interact with your student advisor at least monthly during this time. Successful completion of six foundational courses, Pastoral Counseling and one Intensive, along with endorsement of your advisor, will qualify you to receive LCCC lay ministry certification as a Practitioner (interfaith ordination as a lay minister).

While each student follows an individualized path, a general overview of the Foundations of Spirituality course includes:

• Meditation I
• Training of the Initiate
• Intuitive Development
• Pastoral Counseling
• Ancient Wisdom studies
• The Bible: Christianity's Hidden Wisdom
• Spiritual Healing and Spiritual Emergencies
• Intensive I

Continued esoteric studies in Preparation for Christian Ministry is required by our interfaith seminary for ministerial ordination through our ordaining body, Light of Christ Community Church.
